Image Development: Color and Light

Although colorized images are not
optimal, if the only thing left of the original photo
is what can be scanned from 10 year old newsprint, sometimes it
is acceptable to tint the result.
In these cases the small, grainy, black and grey newpaper image was charming but drab, while the majority
of the images for that site were in color. Using the range of colors
from other lesser photos, an attempt was made to salvage
the photo.

In the case of the photo to the left, the light levels were too dark. Once corrected, it became usable.
